OpenTable is known as the industry leader in restaurant reservations, but there was a perception that you couldn’t use OpenTable to score reservations at the very best restaurants. OpenTable wanted to change this perception, and Brandmovers was there to help.
How it Works
Gastronomes across the US and Europe could enter the promotion through either Facebook (via dedicated Facebook tab) or Instagram/Twitter. On Facebook, users would register their information and select their desired restaurant, while on Twitter and Instagram, users would post with the promotion hashtag and include their preferred restaurant in the post. At the end of the promotion, we pulled a winner for each restaurant, and the winner received an all expenses paid table for four.
Nearly 100,000 entries across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, with estimated social exposure of nearly 5 million impressions – and increased awareness of OpenTable’s alignment with the great restaurants of the world.
