Pepsi wanted to drive summertime product purchases around Pepsi 20oz. bottles and tap into the excitement around emojis among millennials and younger audiences. Brandmovers developed the #SayItWithPepsi summer promotion that rewarded loyal Pepsi drinkers with a free Pepsi Emoji T-shirt gift just for buying the Pepsi products they already love.
How It Works
To enter, customers purchased qualifying products of 20oz. bottles of Pepsi and directed via on-pack messaging to a dedicated microsite. After registering on the site, users could then upload a receipt or multiple receipts as proof-of-purchase of their qualifying products. Once they made 6 qualifying purchases, they would receive a free Pepsi Emoji T-Shirt and they would be entered into the grand prize sweepstakes. Product purchases could be made at any retailer in the US.
